Fabric Softener gone "BAD"

Well, take a look at this! My fab. softener dispenser wasn't working well so I decided to open it up and clean it up. OH, MY GOODNESS!! How disgusting! It was holding about 1/2 cup of softener and sludge. Ewwwwwwwwww. No more softener for me. I hear you Leslie. This is 1 step closer to being greener on Cross Street. I used white vinegar instead. Here's some tips on how and why to use vinegar. The dispenser is now clean and 2 loads of laundry are softener free.

As I read the title, my immediate response is that fabric softener had gone bad from it's very beginning. I've never used the liquid stuff and haven't used a dryer sheet in years. I used to use the dryer balls, but I lost one of them. Not sure if they helped or not. I'm very happy just using nothing.

they are blue and nubby and you put them in with the clothes in the dryer. I am with colleen. It has always been bad...that film on your clothes. Yuck! I have not used sheets in a while and really see no difference at this point with using nothing.

That's what I'll be doing...nothing or vinegar.
