It's that time...

...Time to choose a pumpkin decorating idea in case we have a contest at work this year. The above picture was what I created last year(or maybe the year before that--can't remember exactly). I don't want to do the typical face carving. I'm interested in doing something really different. Does anyone have any ideas? I've seen some in recent issues of magazines. Here's some that are certainly not the run of the mill pumpkins!!

Ahhhh...Fall!!

My favorite season is here! It brings with it cooler temperatures, beautiful colors, the smell of burning leaves, the crunch of acorns and leaves under our feet as we walk to Main Street to enjoy visiting the antique stores, gift shops, art gallerys, the tea room, the local coffee shop and even our own homemade popsicles store!! I love it all. I think the only downside of fall is that it gets dark so soon. I'm barely home, done with dinner and dishes, ready for a walk and...dusk has set in. If I only could get out of bed earlier in the morning to fit in a before work stroll.

I happened upon this website with free blog templates called Leelou Blogs. That is where I found my new one titled "Leaves". This one should last me until the end of November..or not. Time will tell. Go and check it out. She has some very pretty, bright, modern, different templates.

Mail Call...a few days late

Colleen, this is one of the first packages I received from a very nice lady named Jenny. I can't wait to use the items. I just might have to make something to put the buttons on. Something very easy!! There's also a colored ink gel pen, tea flowers, pansy napkins, pretty pink ribbon and the neatest measuring spoon! I like getting mail!

Art Class 101

Leslie, this might be my first project/craft in my "keeping up with the Joneses". I picked up these items at JobLot tonight. Cool store. I think I'm going to try those watercolor flowers we saw on someone's blog. I'm going to have to find it again to refresh my memory. I always feel craft challenged/frustrated. I want to do something but I'm just really not very creative like some of you who are reading this blog. The canvas is actually for my "Heritage Collage". You gave me some great ideas and I'm going to run with them somehow.

"Envelope of Fun" swap

I'm not going to post every swap I ever do, but I'm new at doing this and my first mail deliveries were fun to receive. I wanted to share what arrived Saturday. It was entitled "flat rate envie of fun". My partner sent me a box instead. Inside was this lovely cup and saucer and all these tea bags!! I'm going to be floating if I try to drink every type of tea I received this week! I think I'll take some to work to share. I'm preparing my goodies to send off to a lady in NC. She likes to crochet and she's originally from Maine. I think I can run with those ideas.

Tea for Two..

I joined the Lucky 7 Tea Swap on Swap Bot this week. Today I received envelopes of tea from 2 of my 7 partners. I thought I'd share my loot in this picture. We were supposed to send 1 teabag or more if we wanted. I sent 3 to each of my partners...5 of them around the country and 1 in Canada and 1 in Norway. Joining swaps may be the only way I receive mail. I get the least of the 4 of us. This should be fun!!
