Lucky Ruthie???

Well, I'm hoping I'll be lucky at the end of this month. While I was on vacation in Maine, I went to the local Grange rummage sale in Corea. Some very talented ladies created this quilt to be raffled off. I bought a bunch of tickets but so did a heck of a lot of other people!! They're selling them right up to the day of the raffle. I was told by one of the quilters that this material is Civil War material. I think she meant it's all reproductions from material of that era. It's beautiful! These pictures can not do it justice. If I win, I'm sorry to say girls, I'll have to keep it for myself. I can't have my daughters fighting over it now can I? ;0)

that is ok...it is not like there is a shortage at my house...i do like that they took a old looking reproduction fabric and made it modern by doing the wonky blocks;'

I think that's what attracted me to the quilt...the way they pieced it.

I love the way it's pieced... someday maybe I'll get inspired and try my hand at something like this.... lol
