These rocks are on Jasper Beach in Maine. This is a place we like to visit for its unique beach. When you park all you see is a wall of stones, large ones. You can't even see the water until you climb up and over the wall and then VOILA!! A magnificent stone beach. The closer you get to the water the smaller the stones are. Some are striped , some are granite eggs, some are red, green, mustard yellow, white quartz....the variety is endless. We spend a lot of time searching for the best treasures to bring back with us. They look their best wet or wiped down with a bit of oil. We have them filling the base of a lamp, in a vase, in the china cabinet(the very rare round red one Dad found one year) in little dishes placed around. Memories all over the house!

Yeah, I'll apologize publicly. I wanted to show a larger portion of the beach and this is all we had...well, let's just say this is probably the best one. Sorry, Colleen.

I'm confusing stones and sea glass in this post. I'm tired. I do have the beach stones in the china cabinet along with a few pieces of sea glass.
