So today was mom and dad's 38th anniversary. I decided that I would make them dessert.
I must be the slowest baker in the world. it said prep time 40 min, and it took me an hour and a half to prepare it all. The recipe is half of a Paula Deen recipe. What do I mean by half you say??? well I only followed the instructions for the filling. I decided against making the dough from scratch and I bought it. If I made the dough, the pie would probably still be in the oven.

Looks good, Kate. Don't feel bad about the time. It took me an hour and a half to do one of Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals.
