- Most everyone who reads this will already know this...I'm a mom of 4 girls, a Grammie to 8, 5 girls and 3 boys and the wife of Grampie. I work as a receptionist at a skilled nursing facility and like it very much. It's just like living in a soap opera every day. I used to be crafty but as I've aged, I've also slowed down...to a crawl actually. I do a lot of reading and I'm trying to do some decorating in the house.(we've only lived here for 14 years!!) That's it in a nutshell for right now.

Smiles, that is so true! I think I'll have to remember that quote. I'm 19 and don't have children of my own, but I know that when I bring back a special someone I'm ready to commit to, my parents won't think of it as giving me away, but as taking on a new child! Which I'm excited for, laughter.
For me, parents liking a significant other is a make-or-break deal! I'm certainly not the sort of teenager who WANTS to date someone her mother doesn't approve of! If anything, sometimes I wish my mother would find me people to date! I'd trust her instincts!
